TRADE ASSOCIATIONS
Tim has worked with a number of different trade associations in the electronics, chemicals and medical device sectors and so he has a keen understanding of the complexities, politics and legal obligations involved.
In the Far East, he led an agency team responsible for the communications and community programmes for the Malaysian American Electronics Industry (MAEI), a trade association of 11 electronics firms formed as part of the American Chamber of Commerce.
He was also responsible for forming and running the secretariat of a medical devices industry association which was facing issues over the perceived quality of goods due to poor manufacturing processes and quality control of some small manufacturers and has worked with organisations established to represent the common interests of pharmaceutical companies.
In Brussels, Tim spent more than 10 years seconded from Porter Novelli to the European Council for Plasticisers and Intermediates (ECPI), a sector group of the European Chemical Industry Association, Cefic. As Deputy Director of ECPI, he was responsible for communications and advocacy activities as well as many aspects of the management of the association.
